Nokia yesterday introduced its slimmest internet enabled feature phone, Nokia 225 both in single SIM and dual SIM variants. The phone is not that slim after all with 10.4 mm body thickness. Nokia will launch this phone in 5 different bright colours – red, yellow, green, black and white. Let’s take a look at the specifications.
Camera and Storage
Nokia 225 comes with a 2 MP sensor at the back. The shooter isn’t there for passionate photography. It’s just meant for simple occasional usage and therefore it won’t be wise to expect much in the imaging department. You can share these images online and or via Bluetooth using Nokia Slam. Apart from minimal internal storage, you can use 32 GB of expanded secondary memory via SIM card slot to store music and other multimedia content.
Hardware
The phone features a 2.8 Inch Mono Block display with QVGA resolution which is big enough for a feature phone and similar to what we have seen in low end Asha series phones. Nokia 225 features a dust and splash proof keymat, which makes it durable primary/ secondary phone to use in rugged conditions.
Battery capacity is 1200 mAh and Nokia claims that this will provide you with standby times of up to 36 days for single SIM and 27 days for Dual SIM. Talk time is 21 hours which is again quite decent. MP3 playback will be around 49 hours.
Software
Nokia 225 works on Series 30+ OS which has been designed for Nokia feature phones. Nokia has also provided with five pre-loaded games – Block Breaker 3, Asphalt 6, Assassins Creed 3, The Avengers and Real Football 2012 for entertainment.
Nokia’s Xpress Browser can be used for internet browsing and this comes with the ability to compress data so you don’t run out of limited data too soon.
Key Specs
Conclusion and Price
With body dimensions of 124mm x55.5mm x10.4mm and moderate weight of 100.6 grams, Nokia 225 seems like an easily pocketable and durable Nokia feature phone, which you can use as a secondary phone to attend your phone calls. The fact that it comes with several color options, makes it more appealing. The phone is expected to be priced around 39 Euros and you can expect it to launch below 3,000 INR in India in near future.
