Another Micromax Smartphone in EG series is now listed on company’s official website. The Micromax Canvas Blaze HD EG116, is also a CDMA + GSM dual SIM phone similar to Micromax Canvas Blaze MT500 AND Micromax Canvas Duet EG111.
The Micromax Canvas Blaze HD EG116 features a 5 inch IPS LCD display with HD resolution. The processor used is 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon MSM8625Q processor, backed by 1 GB RAM and 4 GB internal storage. Like most budget android phones, you can further extend it by 32 GB using MicroSD support. The dual SIM phone runs on slightly dated Android 4.1 jelly bean operating system. Primary 8 MP autofocus camera is paired with a 2 MP front shooter for photography. Rear camera is capable of 720p HD video recording and enjoys LED flash support. The battery capacity is 2000 mAh and you can extract only 150 hours of standby time and 5 hours of talk time from it. Connectivity features include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS. Opera browser, spuul and Hike Messenger will come pre installed on this device. Micromax has opted for a Qualcomm CDMA chipset this time instead of MT6572 in canvas duet. Rest of the specifications are more or less similar and are maxing out the Snapdragon 200 chipset used. The chipset is based on Cortex A5 based ARM architecture which is quite obsolete, so we are not very optimistic about a significant performance improvement.
